I'm looking for something around the two Cr123 or one 18650 size. It must push out about or above 200 lumens (really). It also must have a very low lumen mode, preferable below 5. I want something that is going to last a long, long time on the low mode. That 30 day on 0.2 lumens by the Quark is a real draw for me.

I go camping and metal detecting (sometimes on a night) so it would be good if it can be an all round performer. I'd like a good thrower but I'd also like it to be useful for lighting an area up and also for looking at unearthed finds without blinding everyone. To read by on a night in a tent would also be a requirement.

I'd prefer it if this purchase were below £100. This is going to be for EDC purposes. The two that I'm pondering:

Quark 123x2 Turbo

Pros:

30 Day moonlight mode.

Cons:

Doesn't accept 18650's (Is it possible to buy an 18650 body for this model? Would it be worth it?)

Pre flash

Doesn't tail stand (Could buy a tail standing rear)

Jetbeam Jet III M R5

Pros:

More powerful than the Quark

Accepts 18650's

Cons:

Doesn't have a real low 0.2 lumen moonlight mode but on its own 4 Lumens mode with 18650's it's lasting over 12 days which I find very respectable.

I must have put in over 24 hours worth of research now. Apart from these two, is there something that fits my requirements better? Which one would you buy and why?

Thank you for bearing with me!
