I never use Max or Strobe on my Quark AA, but I find that there's enough play in the bezel threads that it will sometimes flicker a bit on High mode if I don't fiddle with the head a bit. I know I could probably address this by lubing the bezel threads (can someone confirm this?), but since I never really want to turn the bezel, I'd like to try a different solution.
So here's my question: could I put an O-ring or something inside the light that would prevent an electrical connection when the head is tightened? That would let me load the threads a bit (for a better electrical connection between bezel and battery tube) but still have my moon-low-med-high modes available to me.
