I just got an email from LA Police Gear about the upcoming price increase on the G2X Surefires. So now I have to decide if I want to go ahead and get a G2X Pro @ $65 US before the price goes up, or just drop a Lumens Factory D26 LED 3-mode in my existing G2. I know about the issue with heat and the Nitrolon head on my current G2, but don't plan on using high mode all that much. What is turning my crank is having the low level available for normal use but being able to crank up the 200+ lumens when I really need it.
I guess what I am really asking is will the LF D26 be ok given only occasional short use of the high output, or should I bite the bullet and go ahead and get the G2X Pro?
