HDS B42 XP-G mod VS buy new light

Hi



I am thinking of having my B42 modded to xp-g and am undecided on going this route or buying something like the SC60.



I love the size and functionality of the HDS but am not sure if I am just trying to squeeze too much out of an old and venerable light which may result in it failing.



If I go down the new light route, such as the SC60 i get modern electronics (albeit in a slightly larger package) and a guarantee from the manufacturer.



Any thoughts , comments. Anyone got a B42 mod if so whats the output like compared to more modern stuff.
