A flashlight for winter dog-walking

Hi all. My first post although I've been lurking here for a long time. Normally searching these forums tells me everything I need to know, but for this problem I've drawn a blank so far.

My wife asked me for a small, bright flashlight that she could use for dog walking. I gave her an ITP A3 EOS (Upgraded), but she gave it the thumbs-down. While it was bright enough, it was (a) too thin/small and (b) impossible to switch on/off with gloves while also controlling a dog!

She wants something bigger than the A3, (more girth is more important than length), but still light, with a simple on/off switch (but not a clicky on the tail like my modified MiniMaglite AA - she wants a switch on the side of the flashlight). It's all about ease of use with gloves on. I'm struggling to find a suitable option. All suggestions welcome. Ideally I'd like something that will take AA or AAA batteries.
