What Can You Tell Me About the Varapower 1000?

Hi folks....I've been looking for something more powerful than my TK40 as a searchlight in my car.



Flashlights powered by Li Ion are out because Li Ion doesn't like icy cold nor boiling heat that can build up in a car.



I thought of the Varapower 1000 because the 2 X D cell maglite is manageable but the 3 X D size is a little LARGE.



Ive never discussed the light with folks who have owned and used one extensively enough to say more than WOW. It also seems kind of cool to have a wolf in sheeps clothing.



I need to know stuff like runtime on high, where to get NiMH C cells and a matching charger, and how dependable this light has been for you.

I have the new turbo model.

I use 3 d or 4 c batts. Its super powerfull and i use it every day. Very dependable up to now. I dont now the runtime.

I get batts. Anc charger at amazon.com the tenergy is a good brand.

I like big and powerful light, used to use 6D mag so 3D wouldn't be a problem for me. I want to get VPT2 myself here but don't know when it will be available again.
