Hi all-
I'm an ER doc and I use a light every day at work for looking at pupils, in throats, illuminating hard to see scalp lacs, and other various things around the ER. I used to have a nice Welch Allen penlight that fell off my scrub pocket during a resuscitation and was lost to the depths of the ER never to be found again (hopefully enjoying a nice life in someone else's pocket). Anyways, I've been without a light for a long time and I think it's time to buy a new one.
My question for you guys- any recommendations on a good light to purchase? I want sturdy construction, easy to wipe off with disinfectant if contaminated, bright (but not to bright as to make all my patients photophobic regardless of pathology), and easy on/off. Any suggestions?! Thanks!
