Hi, I'm new to these forums and have just recently found myself obsessing over lighting products more than ever. I just ordered a Preon 2, and with tax returns coming soon I feel like I need something bigger to keep it company. I come from a handgun shooting background and have a course coming up this summer that I will be trying to attend. One of the course requirements is that each student must have 2 flashlights on them that are capable of throwing a beam 50 yards or more and temporarily blinding somebody if needed. So I figured, who better than a group of flashaholics to help me decide what to pick up next?
I've been looking at a few things, the following really stand out:
4Sevens Quark 123 Squared
Fenix PD30 R5
Also, the Fenix TK35, but I am curious as to whether or not this would be absolute overkill for the given task of room clearing.
So hello to everyone! And does anybody have some other lights powered by CR123 batteries (x2 or more, but maneuverable) that they recommend?
