How to remove spacer in Inova X5T red LEDs?

I would like to use two CR123s in the light for more distance. How do I remove the spacer inside the battery compartment? I tried to pull it out with a plier, but it did not cooperate. TIA.

You might burn up the electronics that way.
I'm not sure if it can take double the Volts.

Is the red LED different than the other color LED? I do not believe Inova modify the electronics just for the red LED version.

I think the red LEDs take lower Volts. So thats why theres only one batt in the read LED versions.

yellow, orange and red LEDs take a lower voltage than the other ones, that is why there is only one 123 in the red X5T and a spacer (this solution stinks, I agree). I doubt there are "electronics" in the X5T, maybe a few resistors. If you put in 2 123s you'll most liekly kill the LEDs.
