Brinkmann ArmorMax 3*AAA Upgrade.

I'm looking to upgrade my Brinkmann ArmorMax 3*AAA (809-1085-1). This is the 140 lumen model with a Cree XLamp XP (as seen in the pic below). I've had it over a year now and I want to upgrade it to to something brighter. Either replacing the the star PCB or putting drop-in module would be okay. I prefer to leave it direct drive, heat is not a concern.



Has any one upgraded/modified this light? Any pertinent suggestions and help will be greatly appreciated.



I think I'll get myself a set of digital calipers later today to make things easier.

I know this is an older thread, but I just came across it during a search for Armormax. There are some new Brinkman Armormax lights that I found and was about to do a review on. Look for them in a few days.

Have you tried using the pill from a P60 drop in?
