Hello all,

I am currently trying to decide whether I should purchase the Fenix LD10 or LD20 flashlight as an EDC light (camping, hiking, tactical... as well).

These are the specs for the LD10 from http://fenixtactical.com/fenix-ld10.html:

3 lumens for 70 h

13 lumens for 11 h

45 lumens for 4 h 40 min

100 lumens for 1 h 48 min

Specs for the LD20 from http://fenixtactical.com/fenix-ld20.html:

5 lumens for 100 h

30 lumens for 15 h

81 lumens for 5 h 57 min

180 lumens for 2 h 16 min

I like the weight of both of these lights; they are lightweight.

Size (length specifically) and runtimes seem to be the problem. The LD20 is 5 centimeters longer than the LD10, making it a bigger flashlight to carry around with you everyday (I don't want it to protrude out of my pocket too much or have a too long of a holster/sheath on my belt). However, the LD20 has fantastic runtimes for all its light output modes (the LD10 runtimes is a bit short of my expectations).

So please help me decide. I chose these two Fenix flashlights because they are powered by ordinary 1.5V AA batteries, either Alkaline, Ni-MH or Lithium. I am aware that the LD20 uses 2 AAs and the LD10 uses 1.

Thanks in advance. :)
