Is it possible to replace plastic lenses (like the one on my new Tigerlight) with mineral glass or sapphire watch crystals, such as those found on this watch site? I would think light transmission and scratch resistance would be enhanced. http://test3.yourhost.com/page_157.html

Thanks!

Rio,
Is the lens on the Tigerlight accessible? If so, you need to measure the OD of the lens and see if watch crystals are available in that diameter or close enough to it. The other consideration is the thickness of the existing plastic compared to the watch crystals. If the crystal is thinner than the plastic, you may need to replace the existing O-ring (if there is one) with a thicker O-ring.

Thanks for all the info! I will wait to purchase one of the new lenses with the anti-reflective coating when they become available. Thanks for the welcome also! I needed a quality flashlight for an upcoming trip to the Amazon and this site has been very valuable in helping me choose one.
