Need some help with MC-E

Hey,

I recently bought some equipment from Germany (http://www.led-tech.de) and got it sent over to New Zealand where I live. Now I have pulled the guts out of my mag lite to fit the equipment for my makings of a bright LED torch. This is a list of the stuff we have used...

- CREE MC-E Emitter (MCE4WT-A2-WG-N0)

- Star PCB for Cree MCE-E Emitters (parallel connection)

- BUCK Constant Current Power Supply (700mA, 30V)

- 12V power supply

I wired the LED dies up in Parallel and connected it to the 12V Supply. The MC-E chip claimed to put out 870 Lumen's, yet when we compared these to our 170 lumen Led lenser torches, they seemed comparatively similar! Have we done the wrong thing wiring these in parallel? Or is the something else we have missed. Is it something to do with the Pulse Width Modulation on the controller, are the cables to small, have we not soldered the chip onto the PCB properly?

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks

Jordan
