I've spent some time lurking in the forum and finally decided to purchace my first high end light.
I've had an energizer 3W recharable I got cheap at Target I think it was, and was baffled how much it basically blew away my old 4D Mag Light.
I've heard of HDS and Surfire and seen them on tacticle arms and knife sites but had no idea of the huge market and brands that were available nor the obcessive passion and geekyness about LED's, reflectors, and battery choice (no offense!).
So I intend to waste a couple of batteries timing run time, and taking shots of the beam on the wall at specific time datums, and I'll post results.
I ended up choosing this light simply because I wanted something really small simple and compact that had a pretty high lumen rating OTF. At least now I'll have a light to compare to new ones... assuming I buy more... which might happen now....
Any thoughts on mods, options or accessories for the Quark Mini I should look into?
