Hello all,
This is my first post, let me preface by saying the flashlight knowledge of the forum members here is truly astounding!
I just acquired a v2 with intentions of weapon mounting the light. The infared/whitelight output seems like a great feature would eliminate the need for an additional infared light when using night vision.
My experience has been most surefires of the non integral mount type are either 1 or .8 in diameter(at least the most popular models mounted on firearms), which most light mounts are designed to match.
I dont have calipers, but Im guessing the v2 is around .9.
If I strip the light down to the body remove the belt clip, there is a small lip just past the tailcap threads.
Long short of it, does anybody know if Id be able to slide a pair of .914 rings over that lip onto the main body of the light?
Thanks so much.... please forgive me if Ive been overly long winded or detailed.
