Hypothetical situation just for Fun: ALL opinions welcomed and needed!

Alright, I know you guys know your stuff, so this question is purely for fun (and to see what the general consensus is).

Here's a hypothetical situation:

You're alone in an unfamiliar land, perhaps a dark forest. You don't know how long it will take you to get to civilization again, but you know it will only take four days maximum, in any given direction, so you need only walk a straight path through the woods (let's just assume you can do that no problem). The woods may be filled with dangerous animals and terrain, and you have no idea what to expect.

Now, you're allowed to take FOUR lights with you, but you can only use ONE light per day. Each light must fit a selected MSRP price range:

1. $1-$50

2. $51-$100

3. $101-$150

4. $151-200

(just round up or down to the nearest dollar as needed, we won't be really picky here...)

The prices DO NOT include batteries or any other accessories, but you can just assume that you will be given a set of fully charged batteries for each light, so the price is only for the light itself. No mods can be made - the lights are straight out of the box. You won't need an assault crown or anything else. It will only be used to provide light.

Now, before you decide, think about the scenario: You most likely will not use the light much (or at all) during the daytime, and perhaps not throughout the entire night either (you need to find firewood when it gets dark and of course be able to investigate strange animal noises, but you are going to sleep at some point, so let's just assume 4-5 hours runtime per day). So having a really long battery life may not necessarily be your #1 priority.

Let's also assume that being weatherproof is necessary (in case it rains) but not necessarily waterproof/submergible, since you will be on land, with no large bodies of water to cross.

You'll probably want good flood and throw, if possible, to see where you are going and to investigate things in the distance (but how far ahead can you see in a thick forest anyway - maybe 100 m?), and it doesn't have to be the brightest thing on the planet, but of course, brighter is better, as long as it will last for the 4-5 hours you will depend on it.

You can choose any style you like - HID, incand, LED, whatever, as long as it is in the price range. You can use any light in any order you wish, but only one per day, and you cannot use the same light twice for different days. One day and it's done- dead- throw it away. You can also assume that you wont need a better/more expensive light for any one particular day - each day is just as difficult and dangerous.

Ok, I think that about covers it. You get the idea, right? The idea is to select your personal choice for the best light you would absolutely depend on in a survival situation in each of those four categories.

I am extremely interested to see what you guys would come up with and very interested it see if any of you as a whole tend to agree on a particular make and model in a given price range.

Please post your picks, with, or without explanation, as:

1. make/model - approx price - (short reason/explanation, optional)

2. etc.

3. etc.

4. etc.

I can't wait to see what results from this! Thanks!
