As a foreign citizen I always carried my Argentinian drivers license while traveling in USA, rental companies accept them without problems, but I have a doubt:
What happens if I have an accident? my Argentina permit has the same value for the police? and in courts?
There is a thing called international drivers license that I can apply here but it only lasts for a couple of months and its expensive. In my 20+ years traveling to USA I never applied to one and no one asked me for it.
