So i just purchased the Streamlight LED Stinger, and i'm very satisfied with the brightness of the light, but it seems to be focused for all throw. As an automotive mechanic i've found the original stinger beam pattern to be quite well suited for a work light that will live forever, i just wanted to do away with bulb replacement and gain some longer runtime.
I've searched here and everywhere else i can think of for perhaps an aftermarket reflector or head assembly that would provide more spill and make the light usable in the 1 to 5 foot range...not the current pencil beam.
Anyone have any ideas, or know of a source? The current reflector appears to be more orange peel near the led, and smooth from about 1/2 on out...so i was hoping for an all orange peel reflector or even one that is simply focused differently. Any and all suggestion and input is appreciated, and this is not a deal breaker for the light...ill still find uses for it, just would like to be able to use it at work.
