Fenix PD31 Battery Sanity Check

Hello, Im new to the world of flashlights $10 and have spent the past week getting acquainted to the technology, terminology, and considerations involved in choosing a light, battery, and charger.

I'd very much appreciate a sanity check on my current choices.

My criteria:

Every Day Carry - Belt (other items on the belt: Leatherman Wave, Yaesu VX-6R radio, Nylon pouch with $$, USB stick, keys)

Very bright high mode

Usable mid-power mode (aka bright normal light)

Low power mode (that won't blind me at night)

More flood than throw

Rechargeable

Based on those I'm looking at a Fenix PD31.

My main uncertainty is with batteries.

The Fenix PD31 has current draw at the tailcap using an AW 18650: 10ma, ~150ma, ~310ma, and ~1200ma so Im looking at a low current demand.

This graph from the 18650 battery test 2011 points towards the Redilast and AW cells as being the best choice for a ~1A or lower draw.

And then thegraph from the Shootout AW vs. Redilast 2900mAh thread shows the two cells to be very close performance-wise. However the Redilast cells don't cut out at the 2.5V line.

My concern is with these cells fitting in the PD31. Can anyone confirm that they do/don't?

Finally I plan to charge them with an UltraFire WF-139.

Many thanks and I promise some action photos when everything comes together.
