Surefire runtime discrepency

I'm looking at the output and run times of some Surefire flashlights and the numbers don't add up. For example, compare the L5 and LX2: both use two batteries, but one produces 100 lumens for two hours, where the other produces 200 lumens for two hours. You'd think the higher output would drain the batteries faster, but the numbers on the website don't agree. It's confusing, since I gather from this forum that SF ratings are usually more reliable than most.



What explanation could there be for this?
