Fenix TK35 on 18650 runtime

Sorry if this is a noobie question but I cant seem to find the answer. I believe that all the runtimes quoted for the TK35 are on quality primaries. Assuming the quality primaries are 1400mah, would the runtime on say, quality Panasonic 2800mah 18650s be exactly the same? If not, would the runtime be longer and why?

Thanks in advance...

What ? It is the answer ! :)

OK, in fact if Watt was still alive, he could give the answer because Watt is the way !

Well, not entirely, since we are dealing with very different battery sources with widely differing voltages (and thus different circuit dynamics in regulation, differing battery capacity determinations, etc). But I agree, the principle is sound and gives you a rough idea of comparison.

For actual 18650 runtime data, my review of the TK35 is now up.

Of course efficiencey has to be accounted for. The fact is that one has to reason in term of energy not mAh ! Too many forget it.
ANd besides, I wanted to make a pun !
