Was wondering if anyone has had any trouble removing the Mag C switch. I have used the same technique I used for my D lights. Removed the boot put the hex key in. But it does not seem to grasp the screw. Anyone else encounter this problem?

Thanks for all the links. Has someone found a specific brand size tool that works without any filling down? From what I gather a t7 or t8 torx screwdriver will do.

If you buy a new Maglite C switch it will come with 2 wrenches: hex and thin T8. I bought a Torx 8 and used a grinder to make the shaft of the driver the same size as the T8 tip. It works like a charm. I also bought some hex screws to replace the Torx 8 screw once it's out. That way all my Maglites use the same hex.
