Noob question: 2XCR123 or 18650?

Pardon the noob question please, but my search-fu seems to be poor.

I have just bought a Fenix TK15 from a local dealer(to me) and when I inquired about a charger and 18650's, he replied that 18650's will bust(?) the emitter faster than CR123's.

Is this true? or should I just go ahead and order some 18650's and a charger online?

I just read the specs for the TK15 and it calls for 2XCR123A's, or one 18650. You will be ok with one 18650.

What chargers are you considering? I have a new TK15 and want to recharge. Maybe a Pila IBCT 4-stage Charger but I'm still sorting out RCR123 choices. (Want batteries that also work in an EoTech sight.)

I don't know if RCR123's work with the TK15 but I am considering the cytac dual bay 139.
