Maratec Extreme AA...Extreme?

I'm looking to purchase a Maratec "Extreme" AA light as a birthday gift from me to me. Does anyone have one of these units? Is it really extreme or is that just a marketing term?

I'd also look at the ITP A3 which I've heard is essentially the same light. there's an R5 version which is supposed to be super bright

ITP A3 uses AAA, ITP A2 uses AA. find them at goinggear.com or lighthound.com. Extreme? I don't know about that?
ITP does have nice lights, I have the A3.
