I thought you might be interested in this one... :)

Last Weekend, on April 2nd, there was a get-together of Members of the German Taschenlampen-Forum in the City of Ulm in Southern Germany. Thanks to the Photo Equipment of Member FrankD5 we managed to take comparative Beamshots of about 140 Flashlights. Sadly Member Ot10St was gone already when we started shooting, so his 300W HID Monster is missing.

Beamshots vom "kleinen Forentreffen" in Ulm 02.04.2011

While the Thread is written in German it should be easy to understand, maybe with the help of Google translate. If something is unclear, just ask.

Hello Duglum,

Thanks. Very nice pictures.

Concerning picture 77 (Malkoff Hound Dog): do you know if this is the XP-G or XM-L version?

That's great, thanks. I think the Ultrafire drop-in is the real winner here, in one to one comparisons it is pretty much the best in it's class (single 18650 XM-L/high output) and for about $16!

That's a lot of beamshots! Good setup too, very easy to gauge the throw and spill of all the lights.
