4D Mag Disassembly Trouble

Hey, i just recently bought a 4D Maglite and I've read up on how to disassemble them. i have the 5/64th hex key that it says to use but it doesn't seem to fit. any help with this? do the new Maglites require something different? any help is greatly appreciated.

If it's a new Maglite they now use a torx 8 driver with a very thin shank. I made one by grinding a T8 screwdriver. The shank must be no bigger than the T8 head. :devil:
