Hi all, I am a newb to the forum and am not as tech savey as most of you probably are but I have a Question.

I recently purchased an XLR 250 Kill light on Ebay. Elusive Wildlife Tech. is the main distributor (actually I believe its made by Brinyte.) Anyway my quest to find a cheaper alternative to 35.00 +shipping, would be to buy the components and make one myself.

My light came with a red cree Led. I would like to buy, build, locate the components I would need to do my own. It is a single mode light. I have been all over DX, and other sites looking for the components I may need. Or if someone else is selling the drop (screw in actually) unit cheaper I am all ears. I could deal with a 2 or 3 mode set up too if is there is a pre-made unit. I would like to find one(s) with a green, and white cree emitters. I figured this may be the place to find someone in the know! Thanks for your time.
W.

I'd guess he's talking about a UV light for tracking game maybe? Either that or what shorty and longman are training to become. Killlight OF JUSTICE! Or something.

Your link is not working for me. Kill light? Please explain.

Bill

Hey Bill, my light, in my case, is one used for predato (coyote) hunting in the the twightlight without messing up your vision too bad. The "kill light XLR 250" is how Elusive Wildlife Technologies is marketing it. I believe it to be manufactured by Brinyte in China and sent here with EWT's logo.

Company website....
http://www.elusivewildlife.com/home.htm

Here is the page link to product that I feel is WAY overpriced.....
http://www.elusivewildlife.com/products.htm section=22&p=productMore&iProduct=336

if it don't work.... under products, page 3 about a third of the way down there is a Led drop in (actually threads in) module...

I know that the flashlight itself can be bought for about $35. Why pay that for different emitter color?

Thanks for your interest, any help or guidance will be much appreciated!
