Anyone tried to mod a Jetbeam? RRT-0 and RRT-3 specifically?

I've searched for a few days and found a few mentions of people talking about putting XP-Gs in the older R2 XR-E version of the RRT-0, but nothing about swapping out a neutral XP-G into the current RRT-0 R5 or S2 with the infinite ring.

My biggest question is - how hard is it to get to the LED board? Does it require a c-ring removal tool to unscrew, is it just glued threads, etc? A link to pic would be great.

Also - Does the RRT-3 fall into the same scenario - if I wanted to mod the SST-50 to something more appealing (to me that is - no desire to start a cool/neutral debate - it's just my preference).
