I am interested in a S12 but am not willing to pony up for a new charger and battery so I was wondering if anyone knew of any sleeves to fit a 18650 battery so that it may be used in the S12?

Thanks!

Yes, I would not do it, but you can always buy the 26650 later if you so wish.
Very easy to make a sleave. I used a pipe that could not even fit over the 18650 bit I cut it open lenghtwise for it to fit over the battery. I had to use two of them but that was to make it as thick as a D-cell. Just sit a moment and think about it. You will be able to come up with a plan.

Go to home depot and fine a plastic pipe that fits the 18650. Then wrap tape around the tube to make it fit into the S12. Now u can use any 18650 in that tube.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I like vihn's idea.

light: Why wouldn't you do that? I don't want to invest in a new batt and a charger, that's why i want a sleeve. :D

When the toilet paper empty, I cut the roll to the 18650 size and put it in the battery tube, work great.

There's a lot more runtime, and it's worth the investment. I don't even have my light yet, and I have two 26650's. They are very nice looking and even better looking than AW's. If you have an Ultrafire charger, you may even be able to use that for the 26650. It would only be charging one at a time. ~4100mAh vs. 2800mAh. AW is also working on a new cell, AW 26650 IMR, something like 4100-4500mAh.

the charger used is Ultrafire WF-139.

CPFBiology has answered you.
Think about it this way. There will be newer even better 26650 lights in the future. So you won't be wasting your money at all.

But I will rather get a hobby charger. With it and some thinking you can charge almost any battery available
