I am looking for battery options for a Torchlab triple. What would you go for if you had to choose between a SINGLE cell set-up or a DOUBLE cell set-up?

2x26500 - ~1100 lumens for about 90 minutes runtime
1x26650 - ~750 lumens for about 90 minutes runtime

The single cell runs a little cooler. The single cell light is a little shorter, and lighter. Which is a better option in your opinion?

ref: The LED Light engine from oveready's site.

I would go for 2 cells for sure, get all the lumens you can from that dropin! It is the only triple AFAIK that is rated for 2 cells so I would take advantage of that.
More Volts = Less Amps. You can also use...
2X18350 for a very small lightweight pocket rocket! (My favorite)
2X18500 medium sized.
2X18650 a little bit longer, but with more runtime.
There are also 2X26650 hosts/extenders available. Out of the 2 choices you listed however, the 2X26500 definitley.
