I am noodling around with modding an old incandescent flashlight.
I was thinking of using (3) three 5 watt LED's......powered by an 18 volt Li-Ion battery rated @ 1.5 AH
The LED specs. for each:
Forward Voltage: 6.0-6.8V.....Forward Current: 700mA......Luminous Flux: 350-450LM
I read the great thread posted by William Quiles......and understand the benefits of an LED driver.
Just wondering if I can direct-connect these 3 LED's in series.....or am I looking for trouble.
If use of a driver IS the best route......what are the specs needed to run these 3 LED's ?
