I purchased an INOVA X2 85 lumens flashlight at Frys back on October 2010. The flashlight seemed pretty solid until I tried to use it today. It wouldn't turn on. I thought maybe the batteries were out so I put some fresh AAs in and it still didn't turn on. I took the old batteries and put them in my mini mag and it worked fine. The INOVA wasn't dropped or anything. I filled out a warranty claim with INOVA. Has anyone else had this happen to their INOVA X2?

Maybe the tailcap switch? When you remove the tailcap, look inside and see if there's anyway to clean/tighten anything. I don't have one so my suggestions are just generic. There's a product called DeOxit, that is made for cleaning/de-oxidizing electrical contacts. I get mine at Radio Shack. If you can get the tailcap apart, clean it with some DeOxit, and clean the head where the battery makes contact also. Hope you get it working again. It's a nice looking light.
