How about sony's 26650 cells. DO hese get charged on LI-Ion or Lipo setting. I think I used Li-ion and everything worked ok.

Which charger is it? On my accucel the li-ion mode charges to 4.1v and the li-po mode charges to 4.2v, something to do with old li-ion's were 3.6v nominal and charged to 4.1 (i think).
Use the li-po setting if you want a full charge.

I have the bantum-6. I believe to charge li-ion charges to 4.1 and li-poly to 4.2. It can charge to 6a max. Which I thought you were not supposed to charge
>2c 2500mh=5A but the manual says it is ok.

Yep the same setup as the accucel. Accucel says 6A on it also, but its 50w max. Anyway, use li-po setting for a full charge.
Which 26500 cells are they? If AW then 5A max charge rate, sony's dont know.

LiMn (Lithium Manganese)

Right. Lithium ion, lithium polymer, lithium cobalt and lithium manganese all use the same charge parameters: CC/CV with 4.1V termination voltage for longest life, or 4.2V for maximum capacity. At present, the only oddball is lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4), aka lithium nanophosphate, which terminates at 3.6V.

Also, LG's 2800mAh 18650s want 4.35V termination for full capacity.
