How can I "remove" an application from my taskbar? I have Win 7. It's a small app called Dimscreen, I accidentally loaded it twice. I went to the add/delete folder and it isn't there. Thanks all! :naughty:

What browser are you using?
If it's Firefox you may find it in Tools/add-ons and remove it from there.
I'm not a computer buff but have had sa similar problem recently.
Sorry if I'm way off beam.

Right click the icon on the taskbar and click "unpin from taskbar", if it's hanging around after you quit it.

If you just need to kill it, you can quit it from the same contextual menu.

When I right click the icon it opens up the app, no unpin option is there.

In which case, you'll need to kill it from task manager.

Right click the task bar where there's no icons, click "Start Task Manager". Go to the Processes tab, find the application in the list and click "End Process"

Fixed!
