I don't know if anyone here gets the IAEI News (International Association of Electrical Inspectors) magazine but in the September / October issue the cover story is "Crushing Edison's ALmighty Lightbulb, LEDs vs. the Lightbulb"
It's a 9 page in depth article that seems to cover every aspect of the LED.
If you can get your hands on a copy it is a good read.
