I love my A1 with an AW RCR123, but I am considering an upgrade.
I really like the idea of the Neutron 1c with about double the brightness from the XM-L.
The 2 disadvantages are that it is a clickey instead of a twisty and it is a full 1 inch longer than the A1.
The Quark MiniX is an XP-G which would be an upgrade, thought not as much as the XM-L. However, it can NOT use a RCR123 supposedly. The input driver is 3.0 volts max, so I believe it direct drives the emitter which is bad. I wouldnt be using it on high for very long, so maybe this is ok but Ive not heard any support for this.
So... are there any other XM-L lights that are about the size of an itp A1, using a single RCR123, that are either upcoming or here now?
Thanks!
