Hey everyone. My friend had gotten me into flashlights awhile ago, and I wound up fiddling with my maglite mini for kicks and giggles. I dropped a NiteEyez LED module into it, and from pulling it apart so many times to switch batteries, and check it out, I broke the two little pin pads that make contact with the bulb/led module to the flashlight body and batteries. If you have one you know what I'm talking about. The legs on the bulb slide into these pin pads, the negative makes contact with the body of the light, and the other leg has a pad that makes contact with the positive terminal on the battery.

Anyone know where I can find these parts for purchase?

Thanks in advance.

Why do you need touch the front of the light to replace the batteries?

Unfortunately, the part you need (switch assembly) is not available for purchase anymore, so you'll need to send the light back to Maglite for warranty repair. You could also ask if Maglite CS can send you one, instead of having to send the light back.

Welcome to CPF,

Am I missing something here? Incan Minimags can be bought pretty cheap. Just buy a new one.
