Original Mag driver:
Combined with a recovered driver from DX K-106, basically only using the avr+fet
Testing the driver...
Heatsink made from 15mm copper pipe and an € 0.01 coin
Led: Cree XR-E Q5, removed from DX drop-in module
Beam shots: HI - MED - LOW
With Sanyo NiMH 2700mAh (~70% charge), on HI mode getting ~125 lumen (I led ~600mA)
Heatsink is working very well... keeping on HI, temperature rise is hardly noticeable!
Now just waiting for the tail-cap switch
