This is funny. I have always had dim bulbs: Rayovac D cell things, Maglights, etc. Recently, I bought a 4Sevens Quark123 TurboX flashlight, and a Surefire Saint Minimus headlight. Love 'em both.
So now I decided to take a look at my old camping light, the Mini Maglite. I put in two fresh AAs, turned off the lights, and turned it on. Oh, no! Those Canadian alkaline batteries I bought last summer must have stopped working!:shakehead It was dim, dim, dim...
So I replaced them with two new, rechargable AAs that I know are good. Same thing happens. Then, still in the dark, I turned on the 4Sevens.
Holy S#&*! The Mini Maglight was working perfectly; I just got used to good lights.
Live and learn.
Thanks, guys, for a great forum!
