Hi All

Only been a member for a short time, so basically a newbie, but I think I've caught your disease!

So never having looked at expensive flashlight/torches before I'm now looking at purchasing a Jetbeam RRT-3 but I'm wondering what you would consider a viable alternative?

Thank you

I considered the RRT-3 myself, but at $325, I concluded that it was much heavier, bulkier, and far more costly than I had any interest in. Undoubtedly a good light, but I decided something smaller, lighter, about 1/3 the cost, but very nearly as bright made a lot more sense for my needs.

I decided to go with a TK-35 and I am totally thrilled with this light for $109. Monster output, four great levels, runs on two 18650s (or 4-CR123 primaries), 820 lumens, very floody and throwy as well, compact, relatively lightweight, rules the darkness and turns night into day. Take a long hard look at the TK-35... it's an incredible light, especially at the absolute bargain price of $109.
