I have a Mag 3D which I modded to use the LED board from a cheap 48 LED showerhead torch from a dollar store. It ran off 3 AA batteries and basically all I did was attach a PR flange to the end of the wire and stuck the board into the head of the Mag with some hot glue. It worked well except that the LED's are failing.
The showerhead was simple. It basically had all the LED's soldered in parallel, no dropping resistor. After replacing the dud LED's with others that I scavenged, the head is in a bit of a mess and the solder track has lifted off the board.
So basically can anyone suggest a better quality but still cheap showerhead that will fit in a Mag head?
The question though, looking at some of the 64 LED shower heads, they are all 4 AA so that probably won't do for a 3D, or will it? It'll need to pull 1.28A from alkaline D batteries which is why I think that most of the cheap showerheads are now 4 AA.
