AMC based drivers are very reliable and I guess somewhat efficient if you match Vf to battery voltage.

Hi can you link me to who sells these please and you say match the Vf to the battery the X-ML is 3.3v so 1x 3.7v would work better than 2x 3.7v are you saying , i know the runtime would increase with the extra battery.

AMC7135 based drivers work best with a single Li-Ion setup (3,6V - 4,2V). You can push them up to 6,0v but with a lower efficiency. If you choose 2 or 3 Li-Ions the Wichtel P7 Driver might fit your needs.

If your using multiple li-ion batts, how about the Shark 3A buck board or the Taskled H6Flex ?
