Will I damage my headlight designed for 3V 123 primaries by using 3.6V rcr123s?

Thanks, but this is a 2xcr123 light. There is a Soshine 3V RCR123, would that be safe and provide both modes? (in your opinion, of course)

Sorry, misread the 3v as 3 primaries. I still wouldn't risk it unless someone can confirm the circuitry can handle 8.4 volts. Are the batteries mounted inline or side by side?? if they're inline I'd suggest a single 17670 protected battery. Those are always safe in a 6v led light and on many provide enough voltage to maintain close to full output. When you get the soshine RCR batteries try ONE of them and then short the contact with a paperclip or something to see if it lights up and how bright it is. The 3v RCR batteries are usually okay for lights that are specced for primaries, but they suffer from lower capacity. At that point I'd just go ahead and get some bulk CR123's online.
