Sold.Cool Fall Spy 005. Black with warm/neutral tint. Unsure of circuit board. Serial number 0008.
I was just noticing there there isn't a rubber o-ring around groove in the side of the body of the flashlight...my other one has rubber in the groove....this one does not...doesn't affect use, just thought I'd mention it.
Need to recoup funds from a camera purchase I had to make for this year's graduation...so I have to ask $500. shipped to US. Selling as broken.$475 until I leave for work in an hour.

Re: Cool Fall Spy 005 Black with warm/neutral tint

If you do a power up 4 or 5, and are able to adjust the levels, it has the programable STFu.
If nothing happens, it has the original DB converter.

Let me know...interested, but NEED to know first..

Morelite is right, appears to be the original Lux III

Re: Cool Fall Spy 005 Black with warm/neutral tint

1.) Take the tailcap off.
2.) Turn the knob to position 4 or 5.
3.) Put the tailcap back on with the knob left in that position.
If the LED continually blinks, it is in a programing mode, and means it has the STFu .

If the LED comes on and stays at a constant level, it will indicate it is the original DB converter.

Lisa
Not to worry, I am guessing you have the first version of the board and this does occur when you take the batteries out.
I have read on Data's forum how to fix this, but don't have it at my finger tips.
Nothing serious, but take a look in the Cool Fall section or someone will chime in how to rest the knob.

Re: Cool Fall Spy 005 Black with warm/neutral tint

That should not have happened...
The small plastic screw holding the driver in is probably just loose.
If it doesn't "click" when twisting, it came out of the slot in the potentiometer.
Put it back to the 0 position and try to gently tighten the plastic screw (White Delrin in color) with a small flathead screwdriver.
That will snug the driver back in place and allow the knob to drop back into the slot of the pot.
Let me know if that helps.

I sold my 005 with the DB driver some time back, so I could be wrong as to if this has the small plastic retaining screw...

Re: Cool Fall Spy 005 Black with warm/neutral tint

It's really not that big a deal.
The driver simply moved out a bit.

Do you see a white plastic screw around the center of the driver?
If not, take a pencil (eraser first) hold the 005 upside down, and gently press on the driver while turning the knob...it will fall into place and work as it should.
Don't get upset, it's a simple fix.

Lisa,

may i ask if you have tried to fix the board meanwhile?

Or could you perhaps make an "inside" pic?! So if Tim is right, and its easy to fix, i would be interested...
