Many Flashlights have a SOS function.
Please use the search function or the google search box at the top of the page.
Most members here struggle to find lights without SOS.

Hi all does anyone know if any torch in strobe position will spell out SOS

No, it will not, you need a light with a SOS selection. This is usual stated in the specifications.
The common flashing modes are:
Tactical strobe or fast strobe: A fast flashing, typical above 10 hz and at full brightness
Slower strobe: a strobe with 2-5 hz is good as a attention getter, this can be at full or reduced brightness.
Beacon: 1 hz or slower, can be used to mark a position.
sos: The sos morse code.

The names and actual implementations of the different flashing modes vary with manufacturer.
