stinger led ds hp or strion led hp???

Hey guys iv'e had a stinger led hp with piggyback fast charger for about a week now and it is awesome. I also have had a strion led for a year now and i also like it alot, but lately i have been researching the differences between nicad n lithium ion batteries and understood lithium is more modern and better in most ways. Now i think that maybe the strion led hp would have been a better choice even though its rated 40 lumens lower...and also read about some issues with the fast charger for the stinger which in some cases is bad for the battery...so does anyone have both the stinger led hp and strion led hp and if so is there really a big difference in the beam for long distance???? any opinions out there thanx!!!!!!
