I used Fivemega's deep tailcap to fit a custom 8AA battery pack into a Surefire M6. The pack is a Vapextech LSD 2300mAh 8AA transmitter pack modified with 2 end contacts made out of steel from a biscuit tin. The pack needs to be made as short as possible as there's only a couple of mm extra space available.
The bulb is a WA1268 in a FM MN bipin holder. You could also use the WA1164.
It should be a little brighter and longer running than the 1185 on 3x17670.
