Ok guys, I have a Nitecore D11 that I have been using while waiting on my HDS. And up until the other day it was working fine. But everytime it gets the slightest tap it will turn on. I have tried different batteries and cleaning the parts, but nothing seems to work. It is so sensitive that it will literally turn on when setting it down on the night stand even when locked out.

Any advice would be great.

It needs a stronger spring so the battery won't break contact
from either end terminal inside .

This was a major issue when they first came out .
Read some of the Nitecore D10 threads from that period .
You may have to send it to Nitecore for an Up-grade .

I have already tried to stretch the spring and it still does he same thing. It will turn on with the slightest tap on the head. Lock it out and set it on the table and it turns on.

I understand and I appreciate the advice.

I still am just wondering why it started happening all of the sudden after months of pocket carry and not one single issue.

I admit .... I would think that to be ODD too .

Don't know what else to tell ya ............

Did you maybe switch to a shorter battery ,
maybe that caused it .

They do like some batteries better than others .

Re-trace your steps to when it was working properly .

I have been using the same batteries the whole time. Just noticed it on in my pocket one day and from then on you blow on the thing and it turns on.

Update.
I tried spreading the split ring as described and also cleaned all parts, replaced o-rings, and switched battery. And the light still doets the same thing
Tap it and it turns on.

I guess I'm going to have to contact nitecore and send it in or just toss it in a drawer

Many members said it took more than 1 attempt at adjustment ,
before they got it right.

Make sure the brass outer ring is even ... all the way around.

Stretch your spring just a little too .

Is the circuit board in solidly in the head? Otherwise try removing the ring, pushing some blue-tac really hard onto the top off the board and removing it, before reassembling. This will remove any detritus which may have built up and can help with erratic behaviour. If this pulls the driver out (don't worry it won't break any wires) then just push it back in with something soft (e.g. your finger) being careful to spread the pressure and not damage any components.
