Hi I'm new to flashlight world, and I have some questions hoping some people can help me out on this 
I own some flashlights currently, and some are quite bright like Ultrafire C8. I'm looking for modifying my others china lights, which give low light output, and I plan to change the LED into SSC P7, XM-L, or maybe SST-50...
So if I wish to do modification on the LED what else do I need to take care of, like if the driver is match? Or simply just do soldering and change the LED directly?
and what's the difference between direct-drive and with driver?
Really appreciate any suggestions of yours
