Thanks again for the new answers and i am glad i bought the 8000mah cells now. In the Fenix product pictures it shows the light next to 4500mah (or thereabout) cells , maybe they reasoned that for a light of this price customers could only justify getting 'quality' 4500mah cells instead of the 'high quality' 8000/10000 mah cells? I just reasoned that if something is worth doing then why have half measures? It is like putting remoulded/part worn tyres on a Ferrari and timing around the Nurburgring.
In answering the questions regarding the tint i had already read the new thread on here regarding the tint and dust on the reflector. It did not put me off buying the TK 60 though as i have bought many expensive products that have had mixed reviews on the WWW and made my own mind up. I know the chap who had a problem with his 60 on here did have the 60 but some reviews on the internet (not on this forum) negging a product have been written by people who have not even bought, used or even seen the product they are talking about! Okay, i did have a very good look when i first held the light and i could not see any dust inside the head apart from one tiny piece right at the bottom of the reflector almost 'behind' the led. If there was a slight amount of dust then it would not have bothered me anyways, the light costs £105 in the UK and if i had bought a £300 light with dust contamination i would consider it a poor show.
The tint on low and medium is VERY GREEN INDEED. It does not bother me at all really though as when it is on low output the light still goes a long way yet it seems to preserve my night vision if that makes sense. If it concerned me i would either send it back for a refund or ask the supplier to swap it for one with less green tint, if that could be done. When running high and turbo modes the light is not green at all. In fact i gave it a blast on 'high' last night whilst walking the dog and it was so bright i thought that it was on 'turbo'. When i did press the mode button and hit turbo mode it really was cheap thrills time for yours truly. The beam easily goes out to 500m by my reckoning and i am more than happy with the product. If everyone liked the same things the world would be a boring place.
As regards the run times and how the light functions running 3 cells i will try and have a proper look at it in the next few nights. Or you could just wait for 'Selfbuilt' to do it properly! If anyone can't wait for 'Selfbuilt's in depth analysis and has a burning question i am more than happy to try and answer it using my very basic understanding of flashlights.
